Just 20 minutes from Park City in Midway, Utah is Soldier Hollow Cross-Country Ski Resort. Nestled in Heber Valley’s Wasatch Mountain State Park, this resort offers a unique variety of winter sports and recreational opportunities.
Built by the Salt Lake Organizing Committee as the site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Cross-Country Skiing and Biathlon events, Soldier Hollow was widely-heralded as “America’s Favorite 2002 Olympic Venue”. With 16 miles of cross-country trails, the site also hosted the 2002 Winter Paralympics. USA Today and Outside magazine have named us as one of America’s top cross-country resorts.
Our guests can enjoy the Olympic Biathlon experience, snowshoeing, and our wildly-popular, lift-served tubing hill. By capping the number of participants in each tubing session, we ensure the lines are short and your experience is exceptional on the West’s longest lanes. Our snowmaking system virtually guarantees that our trails and lanes are among the best in the state. With a ski school, Rossignol rental center, and award- winning Olympic Lodge, you’re in good hands both before and after your adventures.
Winters at Soldier Hollow include regional, national and international competitions, along with special events for both spectators and participants. Our skiing and tubing facilities are open seven days a week— including holidays—with our lit tubing hill also open at night.
