Don’t miss a chance to see the beauty of our natural landscape and rich history through the eyes and art of talented Utah artists. The Summit County Art Advisory Board has put together a traveling exhibition celebrating just that.
“Over a span of many years, the County purchased or acquired through donation many beautiful artworks that have been scattered throughout the public offices and hallways of Summit County buildings,” explains Jenny Dorsey, Chair of the Art Advisory Board. Many of these works remained largely unseen by the general public.
To honor this unique collection, these works became part of a traveling exhibition currently on display at the County Services Building in Kamas. Some of the art, which includes oils, pastels and watercolors, also serves as a visual record of the county. Part of the collection includes paintings of historical county structures that do not exist any more. co.summit.ut.us/publicart
