Multiple hot air balloons take off at sunrise, floating into the mountain-lined sky creating a fantasy-like scene. People watch from underneath the balloons, while others sit at the top of a hill, waiting for each balloon’s appearance.

Gene Moser founded Autumn Aloft in the 1990s, wanting to share his passion for hot air ballooning with Park City. With an almost 20-year gap between events, Autumn Aloft was reinstated in 2013, bringing back a sense of nostalgia for many. Meisha Lawson, Autumn Aloft’s event organizer says the festival has become a tradition multiple generations can enjoy and remember for years to come.
