A Rich History of Music and Poetry

291bOne of Heber Valley’s most anticipated events, the annual Cowboy Poetry and Buckaroo Fair, returns October 28th, 2015. This year marks the 21st anniversary of this four day fun-fest, which features live entertainment, poetry readings, and cowboy grub.

The Fair is a unique opportunity to revisit some of Utah’s own wild west past, as the concept of cowboy poetry dates back more than a century. The tales, some carried down through the generations, come to life through musical performances and — of course — the smooth-talking, raspy-voiced cowboys who come to share their lore.

Multiple venues within the Valley welcome Fair visitors — big and small, novices and “old hands.” There are truly options for everyone. Activities include concerts, cowboy gear displays — even yodeling lessons! And for a truly one-of-a-kind experience, don’t miss a ride aboard the Heber Creeper, where performers and entertainers take their crafts to the rails!
