Cinco De Mayo in Park City

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. While it’s a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, Cinco De Mayo in Park City is a very popular event.

We have put together a list of local restaurants that are helping Parkites celbrar (celebrate) the date:

Baja Cantina is a Park City staple, located at the base of the Park City Resort. Order a small plate from their kids menu and let your little one run around the plaza while you enjoy the classic TJ Taxi and sip on the $5 “Locals Margarita.”

Tekila Mexican Restaurant is family run. The owners are from Mexico and have brought their traditional authentic recipes to our small town. They have the best selection of tequila in Park City and likewise, the best margaritas. Located at the top of main, stop in and have them whip you up a cocktail and appetizer.

Crystal Park Cantina brings a fresh new option to Main Street. The atmosphere is relaxed, with nice portions of street tacos and burritos. Crystal Park has been closed for shoulder season but is re-opening just in time for Cinco De Mayo in Park City.

Loco Lizard has a shaded outdoor patio with a calming fountain, which is perfect for Saturday afternoon libations. You must try one our favorites, the Corona Rita; a margarita with a coronita beer in the glass, or select the classic Mojitos; Bacardi Rum, soda, fresh line and mint.

Hearth and Hill will be welcoming guests to traditional Mexican dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their special event menu includes Pazole Braised Pork, Elotes, and Chile Relleno. With plenty of parking behind the restaurant, this is an easy and carefree way to celebrate the holiday.

No matter where you choose to glorify Cinco De Mayo in Park City, call ahead to ensure the location is open during the shoulder season, have fun and be safe.
