3 Women, 3 Unique Boutiques

If you are among the many seasoned shoppers who understand the huge benefits a smaller boutique store can offer, be sure to check out some of Park City’s latest arrivals.

Each of these boutiques has emerged with their own unique brand of style and creative vision, so don’t miss the opportunity to discover how and why they are delivering the first-class charisma our locals and visitors have come to expect.

125THE DENIM LOUNGE
Walking into The Denim Lounge, guests immediately
feel relaxed and comfortable amid its distinct Americana flavor. Surrounded by warm wood finishes, American flags and patriotic stars, shoppers can browse amongst the authentic decor while eliciting a feeling of genuine welcome from The Denim Lounge’s charming owner, Danette Heller.

Because many men would rather schedule a root canal before going shopping for clothes, Heller has found a way to ease the pain. Her goal is to make it as easy and convenient as possible to find that seemingly elusive perfect pair of jeans.

Many of Heller’s tried and true jeans collections and tees carry both men and women’s styles, several of which she offers. However, her main focus is providing a new option for the men of Park City, who in stark comparison, have far fewer options in town when compared to the wider range of women’s boutiques.

125Before deciding her heart truly belonged in Park City, and opening The Denim Lounge in April, Heller had a successful store in Northern California where she enjoyed working with a variety of quality, contemporary designers offering the best options for her loyal clientele. She looks forward to creating that same atmosphere of trust and loyalty with her new customers in Park City.

In endless shades of blue—from sun faded to dark—made for lounging to a night out on the town, Heller’s selection of denim goes on and on. Part of the beauty of her store’s inventory is that she offers a broad range in different body styles and designs across a selection of brands that include Rock Revival, Joe’s, AG, Hudson, and 7 For All Mankind. Her strategy is to offer expert guidance and numerous options for finding the perfect fit for every taste, body type and size.

126FARASHA BOUTIQUE
As French music plays in the background, and you stroll among white-washed walls and romantic rows of assorted garment racks each displaying its eclectic selection of luxurious fabrics, colors and textures, you can easily feel transported to another time and place. Feeling like you’re in a Parisian boutique is only part of the mystique. Vanessa Di Palma Wright, the shop’s enchanting founder and owner, fondly describes her boutique’s concept as an exciting opportunity to introduce her customers to an exclusive collection of “global emerging designers.”

Wright’s business model focuses on creating temporary pop-up boutiques throughout the United States that present up-and-coming designers from around the world. Her other pop-up locations have previously included New York City and most recently a successful two years at The St. Regis Deer Valley. Wright opened her storefront on Park City’s Main Street last November. She continually explores other prime locations across the country as well.

Always adding to her international collection in search of the next best, yet often still undiscovered designer, Wright rotates her total inventory every two months to find space and give exposure to her constantly evolving selections. The international flavor of her boutique’s wide range of clothing styles includes everything from classic elegance to indie chic, with a focus on providing specialty statement pieces. Some of the treasures you’ll discover include Peruvian American designer Nora del Busto, Shanghai-born Alice Yim and Puerto Rican sensation Alisha Reina just for starters. She also makes room for many rising fashion designers in Utah as well.

Also featuring several dazzling jewelry and accessory collections, Wright’s Krysia Renau line provides beautifully creative pieces designed around unusual natural gemstones and organic fossils, all based on themes from nature. It’s hard to look away from the captivating variety of designs incorporating brilliant sapphires, romantic moonstones, agates, opals and more.

127GAUCHO
Offering upscale boutique labels featuring the best in sophisticated lifestyle clothing and just the right touch of Western flair, Gaucho delivers a true art in fashion. With just the right mix of elegance and comfort in her range of clothing and accessories, Owner Tracey Schumann describes her
new store’s style as both “classic and effortless.”

As guests walk in they are warmly greeted not only by the delightful Schumann, but also by an intriguing selection from one of her most popular designers, MA+CH. This designer’s collection of art-focused fashion combines original studio artwork with contemporary women’s clothing that results in an interesting assortment of stunning, one-of-a- kind pieces. As with this designer, many of Gaucho’s clothes and accessories are proudly made in
America with a great attention to detail and quality. A fascinating selection of colorful scarves by another American designer, Brightly Twisted, also adds to the shop’s appealing artistic flavor.

127Gorgeous leather handbags and must-have belts are an interesting part of the fun mix of accessories that shout for attention. There is plenty of tempting jewelry and shoes too.

Before opening her shop on Main in October, Schumann had already established another successful boutique in Oakwood, Ohio called Get Dressed. Gaucho carries many of those same time-tested and top quality brands in Park City with all the bonds of trust and years of experience she had already developed with her designer lines.

One of her favorite go-to pieces in the store is a luxurious cashmere travel wrap by White & Warren, perfect for almost any occasion. Whether you are adding a layer of warmth to a casual look or draping it across your shoulders for a more dressy occasion, this piece also provides a great example of the type of striking and versatile fashion Gaucho offers throughout the store— elegant, comfortable and timeless.

As each incredible woman behind these three fabulous fashion finds brings their own enticing variety of style and experience to our area, they are sure to become part of the lasting fabric of an evolving Park City design. Arriving from different backgrounds and areas of the country, every one of their captivating personal stories involving how they actually landed here in Utah involves one common thread—a love of all things Park City.
