YAH MON – 11HAUZ
In Montego Bay Jamaica, Mount Salem, there lived a family of 11. Florence Hardening (Granny), chef, mother, grandmother and overall provider, worked her hands day and night until they were callus.
No matter the age, when granny lit the coal burning stove in the yard, children would gather around it. Sheron Grant owner and head chef of 11Hauz stood amongst those children, always helping her grandmother on those late nights home from work in awe of her splendor in the kitchen. Her cooking was heaven! I always wanted to be a chef like my grand-mother. Cooking has always been my first love apart from family.”
Blessed with cooking hands and grandma’s recipes, Sheron, is now carrying on the family legacy with her husband Errol and daughters; Nyesha and Tanisha. 11Hauz wants to fill and entice your palate with grandma’s authentic Jamaican recipes. Visit 11Hauz Restaurant in Kimball Junction.
