114bWhat started as an idea and a dream in a garage is now a screen printing business in full force. Alex Lowe and Jesse Santaularia opened Motherlode, a vintage apparel shop right off of Main Street in Park City. Their stylish and inviting studio is a creative and artistic person’s haven. Equipped with a beautiful design bar, locals and visitors alike are able to create their own logos or designs which then are able to be printed on t-shirts, hats, totes, hoodies, and more.

“We wanted something new and unique, but with a vintage feel,” Lowe says. To keep their distinctive look, the artsy entrepreneurs use a special water-based ink that allows the classic look, all the while being eco-friendly. And Motherlode features their very own special designs and those of local artists. “It really enables all of your creative elements, and you also get to learn a lot of cool stuff in the process,” Santaularia explains.

114aWhile screen printing is the main feature of this new and fun shop, candles, local hand-made jewelry, greeting cards, even an adorable children’s teepee is on display for your shopping desires. For those interested in learning the process of screen printing, workshops and parties are offered. Join Alex and Jesse at the studio to create your own Park City gift s and souvenirs, learn instant-direct to garment printing, design and logo creation.

Motherlode is that perfect eclectic mix, which suits our little town of Park City so well.
