Rick Fournier’s voice builds with excitement as he explains his passion for the outdoors and the local Park City trails. “From creating cool routes to improving the over-all system, I love working with contractors and local enthusiasts to continually evolve the grooming program.”

As Field Manager for the Mountain Trails Foundation, Fournier has been improving our trail networks since 2005. By adding connections and Nordic loops, Park City has become one of the best biking and hiking destinations in the country, being designated a Gold Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Biking Association.

For Fournier, the most rewarding part of his job is also the most difficult; putting together and training seasonal maintenance. Fortunately for Fournier and the Mountain Trails Foundation, many Park City residents enjoy the trails and are thrilled to work outdoors and learn the process.

Mountain Trails Foundation works with Summit Land Conservancy, Utah Open Lands and Park City Municipal to maintain 400 miles of continuous, non-motorized recreational trails.
