Goldener Hirsch to host a local foraging expedition and event

Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Resorts Collection will host a local foraging expedition that will bring guests on a journey to explore the fertile mountains of Deer Valley and French-influenced cooking inspired by Maille Mustard‘s longstanding heritage as the premium dijon brand.

On August 20th, the brand’s Mustard Sommelier Brandon Collins in conjunction with the resort’s Executive Chef Nicolas Lebas will craft a special dinner event with mustard as the quintessential ingredient. Seasonal and local ingredients are perfectly selected and combined using various traditional French techniques. The evening will also include mustard-infused cocktails.

The dinner will be prefaced with an experiential foraging workshop hosted by Collins and local guide Merry Harrison on August 19th. Offering an in-depth perspective on local flora and herbs, the excursion will conclude with a demonstration on how to use mustard as a flavor enhancer and a hands-on experience to make your own mustard sauce.

The partnership between the hotel’s French chef and the renowned French mustard company brings a little more European flavor to Deer Valley, in true Goldener Hirsch style.

  • Friday, August 19 | 2PM foraging workshop – from $65 per person
  • Saturday, August 20 | 6PM dinner – from $135 per person
