HEBER VALLEY RAILROAD

In 1899 Heber was linked to the rest of the world when railroad service between Heber City and Provo was established. At this time, the railroad served as the only way to ship to market the harvests produced by area ranchers. Today, the Heber Valley Railroad remains an important and historical part of the Valley’s community.

The Heber Valley Railroad has successfully preserved a part of American history that is otherwise gone. By keeping the “Heber Creeper” in motion, some passengers may have their first train ride ever while others may be reminded of pleasant memories from long ago.

While the integrity and aesthetics of the railroad has remained, the activities offered have been modernized to entertain all ages alike. Climb aboard the Railroad for breathtaking views of Mt. Timpanogos and the beautiful banks of the Provo River. An Old West gunfight starts the Cowboy Train rolling. In December, join Santa for a trip to the North Pole where you’ll enjoy Mrs. Claus’ famous chocolate chip cookies and sing along to Christmas favorites. Whatever trip you decide to join, your adventure will be a memorable one.
