Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties and Park City ReStore

I’m proud to live in a philanthropic community like Park City and want to ensure that all locals and visitors are aware of an amazing non-profit in our community – Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties and Park City ReStore.

Founded in 1995, Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties is one of more than 1,500 affiliates working at the grassroots level in more than 70 countries. Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 6.8 million people meet their affordable housing needs around the world, and more than 2 million volunteers are mobilized annually to build, advocate and raise awareness about the local and global need for shelter. In 2016, Habitat for Humanity was recognized as the ‘Most Trusted’ and ‘Most Loved’ nonprofit in the social services sector.

Throughout the month of April, Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties will be working through their Park City ReStore to communicate the importance of affordable housing in our local community, and to raise funds in support of their programs which include 1) new home builds, 2) home repairs, and 3) education, advocacy and referrals.

Shop at Park City ReStore in April to build and improve more homes in Summit and Wasatch Counties. Park City ReStore shoppers may show support for Habitat for Humanity’s national Home is the Key campaign by donating at the register to help families unlock their futures. For every $20 donation, the Park City ReStore will be providing bounce-back ReStore Bucks to be redeemed in May.

“We are excited to be a part of the national initiative to raise awareness for housing issues, including the challenges in our unique community,” explains Shellie Barrus, Executive Director, “We look forward to making a greater impact on the affordable housing locally with our upcoming builds.”
