Kimball Art Center Event Hits the Right Note

(Park City, UT) — Kimball Art Center puts the art in pARTners and celebrates Valentine’s Day with a one-of-a-kind creative evening. On February 14th, the organization will host the Art of Love, a fundraising event designed to help participants craft their own personalized lyrics to popular love songs.

A number of professional singer/songwriters will be on hand to provide guidance, creative coaching, and vocals. Gene Miller is one of the musical pros flying in from Nashville to help with the event.

“Writing lyrics, putting them to music, or just simply listening to your favorite record is all part of the creative process. I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to inspire others and help them to create something fun, meaningful, and original,” he said.

Miller is currently on tour with Amy Grant and has performed with some of the biggest names in music, including Cher, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Ray Charles, Phil Collins, and Dolly Parton.

“It’s a huge coup for him to bring his talent to Park City, we’re very lucky his tour is on a break mid-February,” noted Kimball Art Center board member Dan Lemaitre, who is also a musician. “This event promises to be the most memorable Valentine’s Day you’ve ever had. It’s all about the joy of creating something special with or for someone you love.”

Lemaitre emphasized no songwriting or musical experience is necessary, and there are no expectations of writing the next Grammy award-winning song. He also noted you don’t have to come as a couple. “Bring a friend or attend solo and learn to write a song for anyone you love — a child, friend, parent, or even a pet!”

Tickets are $150 per person and include dinner, wine, personalized coaching, and a Valentine’s Day that’s music to your ears. Event proceeds will benefit Kimball Art Center.

The Art of Love begins at 6pm on February 14th. Space is limited, so purchasing tickets in advance is strongly recommended. For more information, visit: kimballartcenter.org/event/art-of-love.
