Park City summers can be dry and dusty, but you won’t have to go far to find a frosty beverage or cool summer swizzler at one of the town’s outdoor patios or decks. Every year, local bartenders and mixologists compete in the Park City Cocktail Contest, so you can count on experiencing the best in creative concoctions.
After an afternoon of mountain biking or hiking on one of Deer Valley’s many trails, head to Royal Street Cafe’s shaded deck for their signature Blueberry Mojito. Winner of Park City’s 2007 cocktail contest, it’s still one of the most popular drinks on the mountain.

Join Chris Panarelli in this speakeasy-style cocktail lounge for the spirit forward Juan – a mix of Vida Blanco Tequila, Luxardo Maraschino, Lillet Blanc, celery bitters, with dry vermouth and fresh cucumber. For crafty cocktails, relax in Fletcher’s cool library lounge. The “Painkiller,” made of rum, crème of coconut, pineapple and orange juice topped with a sprinkle of nutmeg, will conjure memories of island adventures. The “Melon Mule,” a mix of melon vodka and ginger beer, or the minty Watermelon Margarita practically scream summer.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House can cool you down after a hot 18 holes at the Park City Municipal golf course. Enjoy a Coconut Ginger Lemon Drop Martini or a refreshing Strawberry Basil Gimlet made with Stolichnaya Vodka, muddled strawberries and fresh basil on the patio overlooking the putting green and mountains beyond.
