“I’ve never been so excited about giving away my money…”

$500,000 in 24 hours!

On November 16, 2012, The Park City Foundation, area nonprofits and local citizens are uniting for a day of giving. They aim to raise $500,000 from 2,500 donors in support of every charity that serves our community.

Live PC Give PC was first held on 11.11.11. Through an online site, livepcgivepc.org, the community donated to the organizations of their choice. Children, schools, parents, teens, young adults, families and retirees gave to the organizations that enrich their lives.

Last year, donor Beth Fratkin said, “I’ve never been so excited about giving away my money. There are probably a lot of people like me who can’t afford to donate as much money as we like to, but thanks to your effort, I actually feel like I made a meaningful contribution to the whole town. I can guarantee that I’m not the only one walking around today with a huge smile on my face.”

Live PC Give PC is also an opportunity for donors to double the impact of their dollars. Most nonprofits will have matching grants for the day. The Park City Foundation will offer cash prizes to the three organizations that have the most unique donors. Additionally, donors may have their names picked out of the virtual hat, and $500 will be added to their donation.

Giving is easy. On November 16, 2012, visit livepcgivepc.org. Search for the nonprofit of your choice. Donate!

“The campaign’s vision is a community where every citizen that lives works or plays in Summit County gives online to a nonprofit they care about. It aims to create a new revenue stream and bring new donors to each organization. And, it seeks to raise awareness in the community about how nonprofits enrich our daily lives,” said Trisha Worthington, Executive Director of The Park City Foundation.
