The Park City Women’s Business Network (pcWBN) is a supportive organization for the professional women of Park City. The group is helpful for businesswomen at all stages in their career, offering opportunities to attend workshops, meetings and expert guest speaker events. Members can engage female friends and colleagues for a lunchtime or post- work get together in the spirit of networking. pcWBN is much more than monthly meetings, the network is designed to empower the Park City business women by strengthening local business bonds, promoting one another’s work, sharing skills and bolstering member resources. Emphasis on character, continuing education and service reflect a strong mission, and through celebrating the achievements of local women the organization inspires others to make Park City a better place. pcWBN annually selects one Parkite as their Woman of the Year; a steadfast, talented, and compassionate member of the community that embodies the pcWBN core values. Previous recipients have included Becky Kearns of Zion’s Bank (2011), Coleen Reardon of Deer Valley Resort (2010) and Maren Bargreen Mullin of gallery Mar (2009).

Philanthropy is at the core of pcWBN, and their supremely popular and highly anticipated annual Fall Fashion Fundraiser awards scholarships to college- bound female students from Park City High School’s graduating class. Last year’s event, which featured live and silent auction items and a festive fashion show, raised over $103,000! As Membership Director Michelle Powell notes,

“The pcWBN is just such an easy way to get involved with a great group for a great cause.”

Ultimately, it’s the camaraderie that draws its members. “As a solo-preneur,

I was interested in surrounding myself with professional women who were actively involved in networking, continuing education and philanthropy here in Park City,” says Powell. “With pcWBN, I found exactly that.”
