Peace House Celebrates 25 years!
Peace House was established as an official nonprofit in 1995 when several committed grassroots groups formalized in response to the brutal murder of local Nadalee Noble at the hands of her estranged husband in 1990. Over the past 25 years, Peace House has grown and expanded their services, and transitioned from the original shelter and offices in Park City into the new community campus this past summer.
Today Peace House is proud to operate as a community hub for domestic violence services and resources, and to be able to offer survivors emergency shelter, a 24/7 crisis helpline, clinical therapy, case management, legal advocacy, sexual assault services, prevention education, and permanent housing support.
As part of the celebrations this year, they will be collecting, preserving and sharing Peace House history. We want to honor our history, and the many dedicated women and men who have worked tirelessly over the past 25 years to fulfill the Peace House mission and break the cycle of family violence and abuse in the community.
If you have photos, or a story, or any documents pertaining to Peace House history, please reach out and share. You can e-mail them at email@example.com by June 30th.
