For over 26 years, Mountain Express Magazine’s mission has been to provide locals and visitors with all that is great about our mountain paradise. We are grateful to be your premier guide and local resource.

In this issue, we celebrate Park City’s past with an introduction to some of our favorite local icons like chef/restauranteur Adolph Imboden, who founded the first and oldest fi ne dining restaurant in town. A place where he’s played host to premier athletes, film stars and royalty for 45 years.

In “Frontier Town Tough,” meet Larry Larsen, a descendant of generations of Parkites long before corporate ski resorts and international festivals became the norm. A time when you could buy a house for $800 or ride a homemade ski lift for a dollar a day.
Fast forward to today’s trail blazers that are paving the way for a bold future. Thanks to Vail Resort’s investment into Park City Mountain, we now enjoy 7,300 acres of winter wonderland. This year we welcome the opening of the world-class Woodward Park City, a year-round action sports resort. From extravagant après-ski experiences to heli-skiing, this town is drawing rave reviews from adventure enthusiasts worldwide.

Just as exciting, we are home to world-renowned restaurants, cuisine and wine. In “Perfectly Paired” we highlight restaurants that have mastered the art of wine and dining. For the latest favorites and dining scene trends visit our extensive Food + Drink department.

For off -piste fun, delight in creative expression and symbolic interpretation of abstract landscapes from local and national artists at one of our many galleries. Or head to Salt Lake City for a full season of Utah Symphony/Opera and enjoy their internationally recognized distinctive performances.

Bundle up the kids for an afternoon excursion. Hogle Zoo lets us in on a secret—winter can be the best time to visit when big cats are at their most magnificent, and elephants Christie and Zuri frequently frolic in the snow.
Our community isn’t just about entertainment and luxury. Every year, LivePC/GivePC and other events support over 150 nonprofit organizations like Pink Park City, an annual event in March that hosts over 1,000 skiers in support of Huntsman Cancer Institute.
No matter what you’re looking for, there is always something happening in Park City!
