RISE & SHINE! LOCAL’S BEST BREAKFASTS

Whether you’re heading out for pristine powder or looking for a leisurely brunch, start your day off right by making a beeline to one of our favorite early morning eateries.

Deer Valley Grocery~Cafe
If you’re Deer Valley bound, power up at the Deer Valley Grocery Cafe. The Dutch Baby, a skillet version of a German pancake made with fresh berries, whipped butter, local honey, powdered sugar and fresh lemon, or the Lox Plate, a generous serving of smoked salmon, capers, whipped cream cheese, artisan lettuce, red onions, lemon, cucumber and a toasted “everything” bagel will kickstart your ski day.

Feldman’s Deli
Start your day the deli way, at Feldman ‘s Deli. Easily located off I-80 and 2700 South in Salt Lake City, Feldman’s serves breakfast Tuesday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Everything is made New York style, fresh bagels with schmears and spreads, salami and eggs, homemade biscuits and gravy, blintzes, and the best corned beef hash in the state. Feldman’s also offers traditional rugelach, crescent shaped filled pastries and hamantash , triangle shaped pastries with fruit filling. You are sure to find owner, Michael Feldman, creating his old world specialties. Stop in and say hello.

Bartolo’s
Bartolo’s, an Italian-inspired, artisanal Kimball Junction hotspot, serves breakfast until 2:30. Start the day with an art latte and fresh, hand-squeezed orange juice followed by the Breakfast Bowl of muesli, vanilla dairy-free yogurt, green apple, berries, dates, nuts and seeds. The Veggie Waffle, as beautiful as it is delicious, features a lighter-than-air waffle topped with zucchini, squash, quinoa, kale herb salad, poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Or savor the Smoked Trout Benedict, a tasty twist on a classic brunch staple.

Five5eed’s Austalian owners bring a taste of down-under flavors to Park City on an all-day breakfast menu that screams nourishment almost as loudly as it does taste. Spice it up with Shakshouka, a skillet of Moroccan baked eggs, feta, dukkah and toast, or set yourself up for the day with the Pulled Pork Benedict. For lighter appetites, choose the Chia Pudding of almond and coconut yogurt, soaked chia seeds, berry coulee, fresh fruit and pistachios.
