Steakhouses in and around Park City
All meat dishes are judged by one gold standard: the perfect steak. I asked our meat-loving interns to pick their favorite steak from 3 of the best steakhouses in and around Park City and here are their choices:
Ruth’s Chris Steak House, located inside Hotel Park City, has so many delicious options it was hard to choose just one, but the interns finally agreed on the Cowboy Ribeye with Blue Cheese Crust as the favorite. This 22-ounce, bone-in and well-marbled cut is wet-aged for 24 days, then sizzled in their 1800-degree broiler until the Stella blue cheese, panko break crumbs and garlic puree are bubbly on the inside and crispy on the outside. This melt- in-your-mouth delicious cut is from the center of Prime Rib Roast, so it is tender and juicy beyond belief, with just the right combination of rich steak and mellow prime rib flavor. Ruth Chris’s signature Sweet Potato Casserole is the perfect side to this full-bodied, mouth- watering steak.
For another local’s favorite steakhouse in and around Park City, make a reservation at Hideout Steakhouse & BBQ the located at 281 N Main Street in Heber City. The Hideout offers friendly hometown service with a laid-back feel. All their steaks are served on a heated stone and our interns adore the Surf & Turf combo which includes an eight ounce Baseball Cut Sirloin paired with your choice of shrimp skewer or a four ounce salmon. Also, although it is “technically” not a steak, we would be amiss to not recommend the Smoked Brisket for true BBQ lovers.
For Butcher’s Chop House the choice was easy for our resident steak-lover, because Butcher’s offers a 32 ounce Porterhouse, which includes both a Filet Mignon and New York Strip. It’s big, it’s iconic, and it’s delicious. This is an especially fine cut of beef, and Butcher’s serves only top-grade Black Angus. All the juices and delicate seasoning are spooned over it just prior to serving, ensuring that every savory mouthful is memorable.
