Want a perfect way to spend a hot summer day? Try rafting on one of Utah’s magnificent rivers. With options ranging from mild and friendly to intense and heart stopping, there is fun for every skill level:

> For a quick afternoon escape, visit either the Provo River or the Weber River. Both are located about 40 minutes outside of Park City are milder than many of their southern counterparts. Hire a local guide to direct you smoothly through the twists and turns. This allows you time to enjoy the amazing beauty of the Wasatch mountains.

> An easy day trip for families will bring you to Utah’s most popular river trip, the Moab Daily. This 13 mile stretch of the Colorado River, takes you from Hittle Bottom to Takeout Beach. If you are looking for a casual outing, with exquisite scenery, this is the perfect choice.

> For longer excursions travel to the famous Green River and experience the Green River Daily with its scenic deserts and big horn sheep. Begin your ride at Nefertiti Access Point and flow nine miles through Gray Canyon.

> If you crave a more exciting adventure, grab your canoe or kayak and head to Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River. With many narrow and twisting turns, you will get your adrenaline fix!

ALL RIVERS ARE RATED ON A CLASS SCALE

The class scale helps you determine the size and technicality of the white water.
CLASS I is moving water with small waves
CLASS II is easy rapids that require some maneuvering.
CLASS III includes waves up to four feet with narrow passages and shoots.
CLASS IV is narrow passages, turbulent water and difficult rapids.
CLASS V includes all of the above and then some.
