TALL PINES CONSTRUCTION is presenting a thoroughly remodeled home in Deer Valley on the Showcase of Homes this year. “There are many beautiful residences in the Park City area that are on the market at remarkably low price-points. If a prospective buyer can envision one of these after it has been customized to express their own individual style and tastes, they can often achieve their dream home in less time at a great value,” said Garrett Strong of Tall Pines. The new owner of the Deer Valley estate loved the views and location that this home offered, but wanted a more contemporary floor plan and finishes. Working with a team of designers and decorators, Tall Pines took this home from Mountain Rustic to Modern Magnificent. “If the bones of a house are good, there is no end to the possibilities we can bring to life,” Strong smiled.

UTAH HOME BUILDING COMPANY has been renowned in the Park City area for its expertise and painstaking attention to detail since 1992. Their motto is, “If you can dream it, we can build it.” UHB has built strong relationships with local subcontractors and is uniquely positioned to offer a high degree of personal attention typically found in smaller construction companies, with the capabilities and resources to handle large- scale projects typically found in larger firms. They have three model homes in the Showcase of Homes this year: one in Promontory, one in Browns Canyon, and another in Midway.
When the owners of the UHB Promontory home purchased their lot, they envisioned a place to spend time with their family for generations to come. This home, situated on the brow of a hill overlooks the golf course with panoramas of the beautiful mountains of Park City. Mammen Associates Architecture designed the home to take full advantage of the view while controlling the vistas so that even the nearest neighbors are unseen. The interior designers from Morning Sky Design sensitively responded to the architect’s vision to ensure the house is a warm haven for family gatherings. The finish materials were selected to create a timeless home that will be easy to maintain while also being inviting, comfortable and relaxing. Attached to the house is the “Hermit Cabin”. This is a small cottage that is a refuge within a refuge. The cabin is designed with the look and ambiance of Utah’s pioneer days with all the conveniences of our modern era. It is a wonderful sanctuary to quietly sit in the rocking chair on the porch and watch the deer, and other wild creatures meander through the woods across the gully.
When UHB was selected to be the builder of the home in Browns Canyon, they knew they were going to be part of an elite team that would bring this family’s dream to life. It is rare to find a 40-acre site in close proximity to Park City, and when UHB saw this breathtaking site they knew the home would have to be as awe-inspiring as the land. They also knew it would have to be an example of green building practices second to none. As a result, their Browns Canyon home features an off-grid power source, on-site water supply, septic system, and geothermal heating. It also utilizes cutting-edge insulation technology and every detail is thoughtfully designed to be extremely energy efficient. The interior of the home boasts clean, modern lines with the generous use of steel, wood, concrete and water in the finishes. The owners now have the home of their dreams with a perfect marriage between seclusion, self-sufficiency, and contemporary design.
UHB’s third home on the Showcase of Homes is in the development of Fox Point, located in the heart of beautiful Midway, Utah. Distinctive single-family residences on large lots are the hallmark of this neighborhood. All of the houses in FOX POINT possess spectacular postcard views of Mount Timpanogos and Deer Creek Reservoir. UHB is a principle builder in this community and constructs custom-built homes or pre-planned homes in seven distinctive floor plans. The elementary school is within walking distance and the employment centers of Park City or Utah Valley are just a half hour’s drive. Starting in the low $300’s, these homes are perfect for a family with children.

MAGLEBY CONSTRUCTION had the distinction of being named as recipient of the coveted National Custom Home Builder of the Year by the NAHB in 2007. The home Magleby Construction is featuring in the Showcase of Homes is located in The Colony, one of Park City’s most distinguished addresses. This elegant residence is hallmarked with radius walls that invite the viewer into the grand entry through the porte-cochere. The foyer is graced with a stylish, curved staircase that ascends to a spacious sitting area that overlooks the great room. The expansive great room peacefully transitions to the full-service kitchen. The dining area leads the residents to beautiful vistas from the sweeping balcony of the lush mountainside.
