Utah Olympic Park and Soldier Hollow Nordic Center Is Now Open with Limited Services

Utah Olympic Park opened partially Tuesday, May 26 with access to the Alf Engen Ski Museum and Eccles Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum – featuring the history of all skiing disciplines in the intermountain region and the glory of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Admission to the museums is free and both will be open from 9 am to 6 pm daily.

The Park’s employees will be sanitizing high touch points frequently, wearing masks and maintaining distance from guests. Visitors are required to wear a face mask in the museums and are highly recommended to wear one throughout the venue. Guests are also asked to maintain six feet of distance from those outside their household, and to be mindful of washing and sanitizing their hands frequently.

Starting June 4, the Utah Olympic Park will offer the Summer Jumpside Pass – featuring thrilling Extreme Tubing and the return of the Alpine Slide after three summers. Guests will receive helmets to use for the duration of their visit, activity sessions will be in two-hour blocks to allow time for sanitization processes and staff will be required to wear masks when interacting with guests.

When it is safe to do so, the Park will offer additional public activities this summer.

Additionally, the Utah Olympic Oval is open to US Speedskating athlete training and is working to offer modified freestyle figure skating, hockey and curling sessions in the coming weeks. Athletes are distancing from one another while training and staff are following mask wearing requirements and sanitizing protocol.

We are also excited to see that Soldier Hollow Nordic Center has reopened partially with exciting new mountain e-bike rentals – sanitized after each patron and ideal for social distancing rides.
