Coolest Ice Cream Spots

By Alex Frisch

As a former scooper and life long ice cream-aholic, I consider myself somewhat of an aficionado; its been a long and happy 26 year love affair. Even though my life has strayed away from the days of sticky hands and extra toppings, I know there are many reasons to love this creamy cold confection and just where to go to get my fix.

Cold Stone Creamery
Their specialty is a large variety of flavors and mix-ins for your perfect creation.

Cortona Gelateria
Cortona brings authentic artisan gelato to Park City. Denser and creamier — and with less fat than ice cream — their gelato is made from scratch with the purest natural ingredients, just like it is in Italy.

La Niche
There’s a sweet little gelato bar tucked in the back of this quaint shop. Order a scrumptious cupful, park on a bench and watch the jealous looks.

Java Cow Coffee and Ice Cream
Java Cow ice cream is made on-site, with all natural ingredients and custom locally made dairy mixes. This landmark ice cream shop is opening a new store “I Love Moo, Smoothies Too” in June at Kimball Junction. The new shop will feature the same ice cream, no coffee, and a
new line of healthy smoothies.
