Learn How to Reach and Engage the Largest Minority in the U.S.
2640 Media Launches Interactive Workshop Designed for Corporate and Non-Profit Organizations
March 25, 2021 (Phoenix, AZ) – Latinos are the largest and fastest-growing minority in the United States. Over 18% of the U.S population is Latino/x, yet non-profit organizations struggle to authentically reach and engage this segment of the population. For this reason, 2640 Media launched a new interactive online workshop providing tools and techniques to help organizations better connect with their intended audience.
The first workshop was launched in partnership with Park City Community Foundation and it included sixty-one participants. The level of interest around the topic was overwhelming and resulted in one of the biggest non-profit roundtable events hosted by the foundation in the last year. “Thank you for this wonderful roundtable! My entire team attended, and we found it to be one of the best sessions on this topic. The information presented and stories shared were super helpful and engaging. The presentation even answered some of the questions on our internal list that have been waiting to be addressed,” said Nell Larson, Executive Director at Swaner EcoCenter and Preserve.
In today’s dynamic and ever-changing global marketplace, engaging Latinos is the new strategic imperative for organizations that want to achieve and sustain growth. “We believe that Latinos should have access to the same information and resources offered to the general market. However, after conducting a survey, we found out that organizations feel their messages are getting lost in translation and program participation remains flat — We want to help them build strong bridges,” said Linda Norquist, President and CEO of 2640 Media.
The workshop explores how to start building relationships with the audience, strengthen organizational inclusion, identify cultural similarities and differences, and apply universal story-telling techniques as a way to expand reach, among other important topics.
