Walk into the Chop Shop and the rustic scent of brick oven fire fills the air. You will also be greeted with a bright smile and a warm hello. Owner and Chef John Courtney, and the entire team, are friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help you find the perfect cut of meat.
The Chop Shop Park City is a full service butchery located in Kimball Junction next to Best Buy. From on-site aged beef to endless charcuterie options, local chefs and meat lovers will be completely delighted. They “celebrate the bounty of locally-sourced, highly sustainable food.” Ask about their seasonal specials, and fresh from farm recommendations, which range from house dry aged meats to fresh local cheeses.
In addition to ordering from the butcher block, Chop Shop Park City offers grab to go and dine-in deli items like wood fired pizzas and bountiful charcuterie options. They also have an extensive sandwich board that includes the delicious “Butler Dip” and the newly created “fried chicken sandwich.”
Be sure to check out their Pantry fully stocked with blended spices, rubs, fine olive oils, vinegars, gourmet crackers and caviar. A unique find to look for on the Pantry shelves are the “Mason Jar Cocktails.” These jars contain specially blended seasoning and spices, just add your favorite liquor and “voila” you have a flavorful alcoholic beverage.
