If you’re wanting to beat the heat, but not sure where to begin, then read on. We have some great summertime itineraries, full of activities and experiences that are sure to tempt your sense of adventure.

2 DAY ITINERARY

Discover all you can experience in just two days in the Heber Valley.

DAY 1: Arrive early in the Heber Valley and begin your day with a real farm tour of the Kohler Dairy and Heber Valley Artisan Cheese. Head to Lola’s Street Kitchen for lunch and enjoy outdoor patio dining on Midway’s Main Street.

Next, head to Wasatch Mountain State Park for a hike or bike on the Pine Creek Nature Trail. Rinse off the trail while you soak, swim or dive in The Utah Crater. Then visit Spin Cafe for dinner, with food so good it will leave you dizzy.

DAY 2: Rise and shine with breakfast at The Milk House at Homestead Resort. Your first adventure of the day includes a scenic ride on the Heber Valley Railroad. Take a midday break with lunch at the famous Dairy Keen.

An afternoon horseback ride will show off more views of the valley. Dinner at Midway Mercantile will be the perfect way to celebrate the end of your 2-day visit.

4 DAY ITINERARY
You can plan even more adventures with a few more days to spend with us.

DAY 1: Pick up breakfast from Judy’s Donuts and drive to the Cascade Springs trailhead. Cascade Springs is a large artesian spring with a short half-mile nature trail that wraps around the natural springs and streams with bridges, boardwalks, and paved pathways.

Midday, drop by Lola’s Street Kitchen for lunch. The afternoon is a great time to experience Utah’s most unique adventure activity; Zipline Utah has traditional zip line and rope course elements. Wrap up the day with a delicious, global-inspired dinner at Spin Cafe.

DAY 2: Fillerup Cafe is a great place to fill your tank for the morning’s adventures. Hiking at Dutch Hollow features a scenic view of the entire Heber Valley. Lunch at Granny’s Drive-In before the afternoon train ride on the Heber Valley Railroad will keep you nourished as you experience 16miles through Provo Canyon with some of the most spectacular scenery in the state. Dinner at Back 40 Ranch House will round out the evening. Watch the sun set over the Wasatch Mountains.

DAY 3: Soldier Hollow Grill is ready to serve you breakfast. Next, visit the Heber Valley Artisan Cheese Factory for a farm tour and delicious lunch with award-winning grilled cheese. Fly fishing is on the schedule for the afternoon. Bring your own gear, or take a guided trip on the Provo River to catch native trout and whitefish. The guides know what they fish are eating and can help you get right to the fun. Don Pedros is an authentic Mexican restaurant with a great
atmosphere to finish a great day of adventure. Bring your appetite!

DAY 4: Rise and shine at Chick’s Cafe. Utah fried scones and fresh omelets are on the menu. Spend the morning on one of the lakes. Bring your boats, tubes, floats, paddleboards, fishing gear, and coolers or make it simple and rent all the gear you need at the lake or from a local expert outfitter. Don’t forget the sunscreen! Later on, grab a bite and a shake at Dairy Keen Home of the Train before spending the afternoon at Holiday Lanes bowling.

Round out the evening with an Italian dinner at Cafe Galleria and enjoy live music on the patio. You can enjoy more privacy in one of their dining Alpenglobes. Make sure to book in advance.

6 DAY ADVENTURE ITINERARY
Spend a week with us and get the whole Heber Valley experience.

DAY 1: Begin your first day in the Heber Valley by visiting some of our local hiking and biking trails. Enjoy lunch at Cafe Galleria with a wood-fired pizza. Check into your hotel, spend the afternoon at the pool, and explore the surroundings. Plan to enjoy dinner at one of the local hot spots; we recommend Back 40 Ranch House Grill.

DAY 2: Fill up at Fillerup Cafe. Your morning adventure begins with a scenic ride on one of Heber Valley’s most popular attractions, the Heber Valley Railroad. We recommend ordering a boxed lunch to enjoy while riding the rails. Stop by Suss Cookies and grab a famous cookie. The afternoon is a great time to explore the downtown boutique shops in Midway, an excellent place for gifts and souvenirs. Plan dinner reservations at Midway Mercantile. They have a beautiful outdoor patio.

DAY 3: Judy’s Donuts has some of the most delicious donuts you’ll ever find. Reserve an OHV and head offroad. It’s a great way to see the Wasatch Mountains. Take a picnic lunch with you or head back into town and grab a bite at Lola’s Street Kitchen.
Wash off some of the dust from the trails with a rafting trip on the Provo River. You can float on your tube or schedule a guided trip. Dinner will wind down your exciting day at Simon’s Restaurant. Located at the Homestead Resort.

DAY 4: Chick’s Cafe is one of the locals favorite spots for breakfast. And a great place to prepare for your morning horseback ride in the mountains. No experience required. Lunch is served at the Dairy Keen Home of the Train, with burgers, salads, shakes and more! In the afternoon, be sure to visit the Utah Crater. It
is one of the most unique activities you’ll ever experience. It is a natural geothermal hot spring created within a beehive-shaped limestone rock. Dinner at Z’s Steak and Chop Haus, Zermatt Utah and spend the evening playing mini-golf or horseshoes.

DAY 5: Begin the day at the Bagel Den for breakfast. Then visit the Heber Valley Artisan Cheese Dairy farm tour. Drop in for lunch at the OG Cafe and grab some goodies and a blended drink to-go for an afternoon at the lake. Bring your boats, tubes, floats, paddleboards, fishing gear, and coolers or make it simple and rent all the gear you need at the lake or from a local expert outfitter. Dinner is served at Don Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant and dessert at Twisted Sugar.

DAY 6: Pack a picnic or get breakfast to-go and head to Whiskey Springs for a relaxing morning. Catch fish in the river, explore the hiking trails, and bring games to play in the picnic area.

Lunch at Soldier Hollow Grill while overlooking the 18-hole public golf course. The afternoon includes a scenic drive to the top of the Mirror-Lake Scenic Byway. You’ll be treated to mountain views, overlooks, waterfalls, and lakes along this road in the Uinta Mountains. Stop for dinner at The Overlook Restaurant at Black Rock Mountain Resort.
