Short Film: It Could Happen to You presented by The Virgin Institute

It Could Happen to You – A short film that introduces viewers to the story of Sabrina Butler Smith, who was wrongfully accused of murder and sentenced to death when she was a teenager.

The evening includes: screening the film and a hosted conversation with Sabrina, who is attending the event.

We’ll also hear from Marina Lowe, who is leading a campaign to end the death penalty in Utah on behalf of the ACLU and Libertas.

Legislators announced that they plan to introduce a bill to repeal the death penalty in the next session. After the conversation we’ll have a performance by local talent Wyatt Pike.

The event is free for registered guests and will include drinks and appetizers.
