Ski Resort Beaches in Park City

Ski Resort Beaches in Park City

With a bit of snow falling the last few days, we are setting our sights on winter and the ski resorts opening. It also got us thinking about “beach” lounging and some of our favorite ski resort beaches in Park City.

Park City Mountain- Canyons Base
Stretched between Red Pine Gondola and the iconic Orange Bubble Express heated seat lift, Canyons’ Ski Beach is the place to be on bluebird days, basking on playful orange lifeguard towers or striped lounge chairs facing Doc’s Run. It is a true epicenter of activity within a stone’s throw of two dining options, The Farm and Red Tail Grill, both of which offer outdoor patio seating, diverse après ski and beverage menus, and often lively music. Since Canyons Ski School is located right on Ski Beach, the high energy vibe reigns supreme. Daily family-focused afternoon entertainment ranges from children’s magic shows to cowboy poetry readings and meet-and greets with birds of prey.

Deer Valley – Silver Lake
There’s a reason Deer Valley Resort is known by locals and visitors with having one of the best ski resort beaches in Park City. The high level of service is apparent from the moment guests step onto the ski beach outside Silver Lake Lodge. The mid-mountain base camp for the prestigious ski-only resort offers rows of white beach chairs encouraging guests to soak up the afternoon sun. The lodge sits at the base of Bald Mountain, so the ski beach becomes a gathering spot for people on foot from Silver Lake Village and on skis from Silver Lake Express, Sterling Express and Homestake Express. Royal Street Café— known for al fresco dining and the best chili this side of the Rockies—provides the perfect setting, in addition to Mariposa restaurant located inside the lodge.

Montage Deer Valley
The intimate and hip Beach Haus found adjacent to Ruby lift and Empire Express is a “recently added” ski resort beaches in Park City. Montage Deer Valley offers delicious grilled to order selections, cider and cocoa. Finish your day by bowling a few frames at Daly’s Pub & Rec.
