ALL LEVELS WELCOME – Park City Cross Country Trails

With over 70 kilometers of groomed trails, Park City has long been a destination for cross country enthusiasts. Whether you’re searching for an intense cardio workout or just want some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life—these trails offer something for everyone.

ROUND VALLEY
Located near the National Ability Center, the 25 kilometers of trails are perfect for every skill level. Plus, the paths are dog friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along for the fun. Additionally, there’s plenty of parking available, so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot. And best of all, there are no entrance fees, so you can enjoy cross-country skiing all day—everyday if you choose.

BASIN RECREATION TRAILS
Explore 25 kilometers of groomed multipurpose trails connecting the Utah Olympic Park with Willow Creek Park. The tracks are a great way to explore the area, as they offer scenic views along Swaner Nature Preserve, through neighborhoods, over bridges and a creek.

RTS LOOP
Generally considered an easy route, this trail is close to 4 kilometers long. The loop can be accessed on the path behind the outlet mall or above Utah Olympic Park. In the winter, the RTS Loop is only used for cross-country skiing so it makes for a peaceful, entertaining track.

SOLDIER HOLLOW
As one of the venues for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the 25 kilometers of trails, located just outside of Park City, offer world-class biathlon and cross-country skiing. In addition, there are several winter programs to participate in, if you want to make it a full day of adventures.

WASATCH MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
Located adjacent to Soldier Hollow, the Wasatch Mountain State Park offers over 11 kilometers of groomed Nordic track with diagonal stride and skating lanes. Ski along both flat and hilly terrain while you enjoy views of the mountains and meadows.

BEAVER CREEK TRAIL
Ideal for beginners and families. This breathtaking 8.5 kilometers groomed trail follows the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway. Enjoy gliding through aspen groves, mountain forests and picturesque meadows.

HOMESTEAD CROSS-COUNTRY SKI CENTER
Located in Midway, you’ll find 11 kilometers of groomed trails to enjoy rolling hills and nature. Equipment rental and lessons are available. When you are done, take a dip to warm up in the 96-degree Homestead Crater.

SUNDANCE NORDIC CENTER
Located between Heber and Provo, you’ll find 15 kilometers of wide groomed trails that are ideal for both classic cross-country skiing, and skate-skiing. Go at your own pace and enjoy the winter scenes.

MOUNTAIN DELL
The 10 kilometers of groomed trails at the popular golf course are perfect for a day of cross-country skiing. The elevation gain varies throughout the track, making it a great workout. Covered benches are located around the track for a rest break. A full day pass is only$7.
