Kicking off this year’s summer season, on June 20th, is Park City’s 8th Annual Savor the Summit’s Grande Table event. Featuring one long dinner table set along nearly a mile of Main Street (closed off to traffic for the event), hundreds of participants gather for this feast of fabulous food and spirits. Park City’s finest dining establishments showcase their summer menus, while local musicians provide the entertainment. The Spirit Garden opens at 5 pm, with a wide selection of wine, mixed drinks, and locally-brewed beers.
The Park City Food and Wine Classic returns for its 11th anniversary, July 8th–12th at Park City Mountain Resort. This four-day celebration features wine tastings and food samplings, educational seminars, exhibits, and outdoor activities. While wine-drinking may be thought of as a leisurely pursuit, the PCFWC has events “pairing” wine with biking, golf, yoga — lots of fun activities that go surprisingly well with, say, a great Chard! Chefs and sommeliers are on hand throughout the event to share their expertise. Join more than 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries and epicurean purveyors for a long weekend of food, wine and fun!
This year’s Taste of the Wasatch, hosted by Solitude Mountain Resort, takes place on Sunday, August 2nd from noon to 4 p.m. Presenting food tastings by chefs from over 50 top Utah restaurants and resorts, this fund-raiser supports efforts to fight hunger in Utah. Live music, live and silent auctions, and samplings from boutique wineries and craft breweries make this fun- filled afternoon one to remember.
The Zoo Rendevous of 2015 returns to the Hogle Zoo on September 10th from 6-11 pm, as guests 21 and over can enjoy the beautiful grounds of the zoo while enjoying chef-created cuisine and unique adult beverages. Patrons can take part in the silent auction, featuring zoo-exclusive adventures, the Zoo Rendezvous Art Gallery and other exciting products and services. With proceeds benefiting the efforts of the Hogle Zoo, you won’t want to miss the wildest party in town this summer!
