TIME Magazine names Park City one of the world’s greatest places
It’s official, for better or worse we can no longer claim Park City is a best kept secret.
TIME Magazine just named Park City as one of the world’s greatest places! Crowned as the “Year-round Playground”, TIME raves about our upscale accommodations, world-class restaurants and our winter and summer activities.
States writer Stacey Lastoe, “The charming ski town rose to fame hosting the annual Sundance Film Festival, a star-studded celebs-in-snow-boots event, but is now growing into a major winter and summer destination on par with Aspen. Recent additions to the area’s luxury resort collection include the Pendry Park City its location in the center of Canyons Village is a harbinger of greater things to come for this oft overshadowed area. And over in Deer Valley, the iconic boutique Goldener Hirsch debuts 40 residences, joining the Auberge Resorts Collection.”
Of course, the article also highlights our “golfing, hiking, fly-fishing, and mountain-biking opportunities set on a mesmerizing backdrop.”
TIME doesn’t forget to call-out the new arts-and-culture district centered on the Kimball Art Center and Sundance Institute and envisioned as a cultural hub. For our large music and entertainment community, the refreshed Park City Song Summit—with its live music and chances for fans to connect with artists is another reason to visit this lovely town. The song festival “debuts” in September and will include Anders Osborne + Friends, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Josh Kelley .
I know as a longtime local all these amenities and adventures can become commonplace. It’s always a positive thing when one of the most authoritative and informative publications recognizes the incredible paradise in which we live.
