PARK CITY RESTAURANTS CELEBRATE FIS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Score a perfect 10 at these renowned restaurants when the snowboard and freestyle world championships return to Park City from Feb. 1-10.

PARK CITY, Utah (Jan. 30, 2019) — Renowned Park City restaurants will be serving medal-worthy specials when the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski World Championships return Feb. 1-10.

EBS LOUNGE AT DEER VALLEY RESORT

Edgar’s Beer and Spirits Lounge at Deer Valley Resort will be celebrating the World Championships with extended hours and live music Feb. 6-9. Enjoy delicious appetizers with draft and bottled beers, fine wines and cocktails from 2:30 – 10 p.m.  Live music will be performed by Mike Rogers from 2:30 – 6 p.m. and Morgan and McCune from 6 – 10 p.m.

 

ELEMENT KITCHEN & BAKERY

Park City’s culinary concierge is offering 15 percent off all house-made items for anyone with a World Championships credentials. Special available for both dine-in and take-out.

 

FLANAGAN’S ON MAIN

This locals-favorite Irish pub will be offering 20 percent off entire orders for athletes in uniform. A special Golden Chloe cocktail will also be on offer, in honor of Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Chloe Kim.        

 

GRUB STEAK

The Park City mainstay will be open through the championships and happy to host large parties of 10-50 people with a reservation.

 

HIGH WEST DISTILLERY & SALOON

High West’s Nelson Cottage on Park Avenue becomes “USA House” from Feb. 8-10.  Members of the public, as well as media, athletes and VIP credential holders are welcome to stop by for coffee and pastries each morning and classic High West cocktails and complimentary snacks each afternoon. Space will be available for members of the media to conduct interviews, and live footage of the competitions will be broadcast each day. 

High West and U.S. Ski & Snowboard will also be presenting “Art of an Athlete,” featuring artistic works created by elite snow-sports athletes of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team. Art will be on exhibit and available for purchase at the USA House during the world championships. All sales will directly benefit the artists and contribute toward their dreams of reaching the podium.

USA house will be open Friday, Feb. 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

LESPRI PRIME STEAK & SUSHI

Join Lespri from 5-6 p.m. each night of the competition for your choice of five items for $5 each. Selections include delicious sliders, loaded mac-n-cheese, steak fries, half-wedge salad, and a selection of sushi rolls.

 

O.P. ROCKWELL

Celebrate the championships at the Unofficial Official Worlds Afterparty. The party kicks off at 9 p.m.; purchase tickets at oprockwell.com with the code FISWORLD. Proceeds will support The Speedy Foundation, named for late three-Olympian and silver medalist Jeret “Speedy” Peterson. The foundation works to prevent suicide, support mental health education and eliminate stigmas around mental health.

VIP Experience

TWISTED FERN

This chic choice for seasonal New American fare and cocktails will be offering a free starter with the purchase of two entrees during the championships. Offer available during lunch Wednesday-Sunday during the duration of the championships.
