Autumn Aloft in Park City – Park City Hot Air Balloons

Fall is in the mountain air, which means, it is time to celebrate Autumn Aloft (www.autumnaloft.com/event-info.html) in Park City. This annual hot air balloon festival features over twenty hot air balloonists from around the world and runs from Saturday, September 18th through Sunday, September 19th.

The morning launch event takes flight from Park City Treasure Mountain Middle School on Kearns Boulevard. After the balloons lift off at 8:00 AM take the family to enjoy breakfast at Squatters Roadhouse Grill located just down on the street on the corner of Kearns and Park Avenue. Or take the bus to Main Street and sit on the patio of either The Bridge or Wasatch Brew Pub while you enjoy a full breakfast menu and excellent views of the hot air balloons.

If you’re interested in your own hot air balloon ride there are options to experience the thrill:

For your own private excursion contact Jake at Bigfoot Balloons (www.bigfootballoons.com/ ) for an epic one-hour flight. You typically reach altitudes of 1,500 feet. At the end of the adventure, you will also be treated to a champagne toast.

Additionally, if you’d like to become a supporting partner of Autumn Aloft in Park City there are select sponsorship levels that include a balloon ride for 2 to 4 people during the morning launch events. Read through Autumn Aloft’s Sponsorship Proposal (www.autumnaloft.com/sponsorships.html) for more information.

On Saturday September 18th at 8:00 PM join your fellow hot air balloon enthusiasts for the “Evening Candlestick on Main Street.” Located between 4th and 5th street, watch as the balloonist light up Main Street by flaring their hot air burners into the night sky. It’s a visual thrill that is best experienced in person than explained.

Autumn Aloft in Park City is free to all spectators but please no pets, smoking or drones. Click here (www.autumnaloft.com/event-info.html) for full information.
