“Good enough is never good enough.”
That’s the motto of David A. Siegel, founder, president and CEO of Westgate Resorts. In 1970, Mr. Siegel, a doggedly determined, hardworking, resourceful entrepreneur converted his sparse garage into a makeshift office so he could open a real estate development firm in Central Florida. He didn’t know then that his fledgling company, Westgate Resorts, would grow into the largest privately owned timeshare company in the world.
Or that his Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, located at the base of the Canyons and built in the year 2000, would win a wide array of local, state and national awards including being named “Best Timeshare Resort in North America” and “Best Timeshare Resort Worldwide” by Perspective Magazine in 2012, 2013 and 2014. That’s quite a distinction, considering Perspective Magazine had over 9,000 timeshare properties in 95 countries to choose from. But, it’s not surprising, considering that David Siegel’s vision of what a vacation could and should be was crystal clear from the very beginning.
Mr. Siegel and his crew at Westgate Resorts don’t just want people to have a good time on their vacation, they want them to have “the time of their life.” That’s a lofty goal, but one that the top-notch, enthusiastic and dedicated staff at Westgate Park City Resort & Spa takes very seriously and strives for every day. They know that Park City is a town of high altitudes and even higher expectations and their goal is to exceed those expectations at every opportunity.
A multi-million dollar renovation has made that easier than ever to do. Vacation suites have been updated with new flooring, bedding, fixtures, black-out drapes, kitchen appliances and furniture. Serenity Spa, a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, which was awarded Best of State for “Best Destination Spa” is also being renovated, and now includes rock walls complete with water features, newly tiled floors and furnishings, and an expanded manicure/pedicure room.
The Kid’s Club in on the action as well with the addition of flat screen televisions with updated gaming systems to go with them. And for anyone who likes great food and drink (and who doesn’t?), Draft’s Sports Bar & Grill, the gastro style pub that earned the honor of “Best American Pub” and “Best Gourmet Burger” dishes up extraordinary fare on a daily basis. Edge Steakhouse, declared the best restaurant in the state of Utah in the 2013 Best of State awards, features Wagyu Beef—the American-bred beef that rivals the famed Kobe Beef from Japan.
The bottom line is that the beautiful surroundings, gorgeous suites and luxurious amenities at Westgate Park City’s Resort & Spa all combine to create an exceptional winter or summer vacation experience that you’ll long to return to year after year. Because you won’t just have a good time, you’ll have the time of your life.
