Heber Valley Activities

Just 20 minutes from Park City lies Heber Valley. The picturesque valley is known for its three state parks, multiple events and outdoor adventures. If you’re looking for a day of fun, the selection of Heber Valley activities is delightful and abundant.

With winter in full swing, we put together a short list of favorite Heber Valley Activities.

Tucked away at the base of the Wasatch Mountain range lies the charming Swiss inspired town of Midway. Situated in the center of town is the MIDWAY ICE RINK. This quaint outdoor ice rink dazzles with the compelling mountain range in the backdrop. Skate rentals and free skate hours are available, as well as local passes.

For many families, an annual winter tradition is MIDWAY ICE CASTLES. What started with a dad making an ice cave for his cabin-fevered children turned into one of the largest and most intricate creations built every season.

Another Midway treasure is the ZERMATT RESORT with its charming alpine village. The Zermatt Resort is the perfect weekend getaway. Enjoy an exquisite dining experience at Z’s Chop House or indulge in a day of pampering at The Spa at Zermatt.

For multiple Heber Valley activities available at one venue, explore the SOLDIER HOLLOW NORDIC CENTER. With miles of trails that wind through the trees and hill, Soldier Hollow is ideal for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing of every ability. Be sure to check out the rustic Day Lodge that offers ski rentals, souvenir items, accessories, food and beverages.

After an afternoon of fun, complete your adventure with a memorable dining experience.

THE LAKEHOUSE AT DEER CREEK combines breathtaking views of Deer Creek with an exceptional locally focused cuisine created by celebrated chef Tamara Stanger. Make sure you save room for arguably the best homemade pie in the West.

With their trademarked “steak on a stone”, the HIDEOUT STEAKHOUSE & BBQ delights even the most selective taste buds. Your steak is served sizzling on a heated stone to ensure temperature perfection. The Hideout is also known for their slow cooked BBQ ribs and pork and smoked beef brisket. Local’s tip: Ask your server about staff favorites.

If everyone in your party is over 21 years of age, finish the evening at the HEBER VALLEY BREWING COMPANY. This craft brewery is the first in Wasatch County. Sip on a small batch quality beer while relaxing in the casual atmosphere. The knowledgeable staff are constantly changing the beers on tap and are proud to tell you about each unique brew.
