Break out your pink and platinum formal attire for Image Reborn’s 20th anniversary fundraising gala on October 5th. Platinum, the modern anniversary gift for a 20-year milestone, is a sturdy metal that signifies strength and endurance which is more than just symbolic. The gala will celebrate the women who have bravely confronted the diagnosis of breast cancer and the Image Reborn Foundation which tackles the emotional healing of women with courage.

Image Reborn was started by local plastic surgeon, Dr. Renato Saltz. He recognized that women receive incredible medical care throughout their cancer journey, but their complex emotional needs were often unaddressed. Now in its 22nd year, Image Reborn will host 22 retreats that allow survivors to meet and share with one another—whether they are recently diagnosed, stage IV or in remission. These getaways allow the women an opportunity to feel validated and know that they are not alone. Activities at the retreats include restorative movement, connection, emotional support, medical discussion, mindfulness, renewal and relaxation.

All of the retreats are available at no cost to women who attend. Most weekend-long retreats are held in luxury accommodations in the beautiful, peaceful mountain setting of Park City. Typically retreats host 6-8 attendees and all meals, services, and accommodations are covered. Every retreat is focused on renewal and support allowing the attendees plenty of downtime to reflect and heal emotionally. It is an incredible gift that Image Reborn is able to provide these women. Much of the Park City community supports the efforts; Grand Love Shack owner Jeff Love donates his B&B four times a year and Park City Lodging generously forgoes management fees by reaching out to their homeowner clients for donated stays, resulting in three donated weekends last year. Image Reborn is grateful for those who generously give their space as it is one of the most substantial expenses that the organization endures. These retreats are definitely a community effort.

The primary fundraiser for Image Reborn is their annual gala which is held at Stein Ericksen Lodge. Tickets always go fast for this sell-out event so get them soon by visiting imagerebornfoundation.org. If you are unable to attend the event this year, we encourage you to make a donation to support their mission of providing no-cost retreats to women diagnosed with breast cancer.
