Many Parkites already know and love Dr. Renato Saltz, an internationally acclaimed surgeon who has been working with residents and guests in Utah for more than 16 years. Recently, Dr. Saltz built a new state-of-the-art facility to create an ideal environment for the needs of all of his clients. The new Kimball Junction setting, located at 1441 Ute Boulevard, includes an expanded CoolSculpting room, and offers more space and times available for their varied spa and surgical services. The spa offers treatments for men and women of all ages, skin types, and skin conditions, providing aesthetic, cosmetic, anti-aging, rejuvenation, corrective, and preventive treatments.
International clients and locals alike have been thrilled with the new venue, which hosts easy access to restaurants and hotels, as well as easy-on, easy-off access to I-80 and Salt Lake City’s international airport. With the growing trend of what’s being called “Cosmetic Surgery Tourism”, it’s not always easy to determine the training and qualifications of surgeons, especially in many popular international spa and surgery locations such as Mexico, Dominican Republic, Argentina and Costa Rica. Just a small look into Dr. Saltz’s experience and you’ll find credentials like his previous position as an associate professor of plastic surgery and director of the Summit Plastic Surgery Center at the University of Utah, his two-year term as president of ISAPA (the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), and his role as host of the Annual Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting (ABAM) bringing surgeons from around the world to Park City each winter. His experience also includes over 500 national and international papers, 39 chapters and seven books.
As one of the pioneers of endoscopic surgery in the United States, Dr. Saltz offers such aesthetic surgeries as breast augmentation, breast lift, liposuction, body contouring, tummy tuck, mommy makeover, facelift and rhinoplasty. He also pioneered the Aesthetic Facial Package offering patients a full-service experience using non-surgical, non-invasive techniques to enhance the results of cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Saltz’s priority is to deliver the best results to patients, accompanied by the highest level of attention to detail and service. “The best part of my job is to see patients happy aft er plastic surgery,” Saltz said in an interview with KUTV. “Plastic surgery is one of the few specialties that you witness a tremendous response from the patients.”
Dr. Saltz is also the founder and president of the Image Reborn Foundation. This organization, founded in 1998, provides no-cost healing retreats to women diagnosed with breast cancer to empower them to erase the physical and mental stigma of cancer and cancer treatments.
“You’ve got to be a physician first, and then a surgeon, and then a cosmetic surgeon.I think if you look at our specialty, we are very blessed and very lucky to do what we do. And you have to give back,” explains Saltz. His gratitude is something he learned from his parents and grandparents, who were immigrants that moved to Brazil from Europe after WWII.
